After practice ended, I wasn't real happy with how I was performing. I was
missing everything. I didn't have one good shot in practice. This is how
game 1 was through the first five or six frames. I did absolutely horrible.
I even had to switch balls in order to pick up spares, with little success.
But that "little success" came a long way throughout the series. In the 10th
frame, I got an incredibly lucky strike (never touched the headpin), which
gave me loads of confidence throughout the rest of the series.

Game 1 in short: Too many missed "easy spares," too many splits and no split
conversions left me with a forgettable game.

In Games 2 and 3, I performed more like myself. I averaged 174 in those games.
This stemmed from the strike in the 10th frame of the first game -- it allowed
me to calm down and take my time, which I took to great advantage.

For my team: In this league, the handicap is based on 90% of 200, with team
handicaps being the sum of the bowlers' handicaps. My team is a "high-average"
team with a low handicap. included below is my rating scale for Team
Handicap Games, along with estimated winning percentages in parenthesis:

Handicap Ratings for five-bowler teams with 90% of 200 Handicap:
ScoreRating (Win Pct.)
Under 900Very Poor (10%)
900-925Poor (30%)
926-950Average (40%)
951-975Good (60%)
976-1,000Very Good (75%)
1,001-1,050Excellent (90%)
1,051 and upAwesome (99%)

Games 2 and 3 both proved to be high-scoring contests, with my team's average
Handicap Game being 1,066. However, my team only won one of those two games,
but still took the series 3-1.

I'm not getting anxious about the League Title just yet, although I want to
win that thing so badly. High average and high series just won't do me justice.
Wish me the best! E-mail me if you have any thoughts on this.
