For my team, Week 22 proved to be even better than Week 21 was. In
Week 21, my team obliterated the opposition. In Week 22, my team
DESTROYED the opposition. My team won the series by 287 points,
with the closest game being a 67-point blowout.

My team, the Pocket Crushers:

Were the only team with 70 wins.
Were the only team with less than 30 losses.
Has the best winning percentage of any team at Coquina Lanes.
Won two games after my team was 100+ points down with 4 frames left.
Had FOUR winning streaks of 10 games or more.
Has the only 3 bowlers to shoot a 700+ Series this season.
Has the only bowler in Coquina Juniors 2 history to bowl a 300 Game.
Has the best substitute in Coquina Juniors 2 history.
Had the longest winning streak (19 games).
Had eleven 4-0 wins.
Had only 3 weeks of winning less than 2.5 games.
Could not win the League Championship without my help.

My team tore the lanes to shreds in the final two weeks of the season,
averaging a 1,052 Hdcp. Game. The competition didn't stand a chance.

At the Awards Banquet, I ended up getting 2nd High Game, Perfect
Attendance, and of course, the League Championship Trophy. This rules!

If there is a trend with me, it's that I leave a very difficult split
in the 10th frame of the last game of the season.

At the Pro-Am on March 31, 2000, I did really well. This was a no-tap
format in which you get a strike if you get 9 pins on the first ball.
The Pros and the Ams took great advantage of this, and some really
high scores were recorded.

As for me, in the first game, I lit up the lanes with 11 strikes and
a 266 game, finishing with 8 strikes in a row. I fell back in the
other 2 games, but still shot an incredible 643 Series, which
catapulted me to 3rd in the Juniors 2 division. Since I knew that
I couldn't win, I ended up doing my best impersonation of Norm
Duke's infamous (?) towel shot on my last and final ball.

I'm still wondering if I'm going to get some big, fat trophy
for this. I'm signed up for the 2000 Youth/Adult League and
I will keep you posted on any interesting happenings.
