Before April 22, 1998, I was thinking about getting a CD-Rewritable drive
for Christmas. It would allow me to back up my data to CD, and then modify
it at a later time. I ended up getting a CD-RW drive in March, 1999.

On April 22, 1998, for a late, late birthday present, I got a 4.0GB
Western Digital Caviar 34000 hard drive. This drive gives me the
freedom to do whatever I need without worrying about running out of space.
I don't really notice a speed increase, however, because the performance
specs of the 2 drives (the 2.1 and 4.0GB drives) are about the same.
